BMW riders always appear miserable! £83 for a set of BMW front pads! :eek

Does anyone on here know of a cheaper source please? Or I'm going to have to start seriously limiting my use of the brakes ;)

I'm off for beer, I need one.

Click on the Nippy Normans ad at the top of the page.....

look a bit cheaper to me ;)

Cheers, I tried Steptoe...but he never got back to me. Maybe I should try harder ;)

Steptoe is probably very busy on a Saturday. Give him a wee while and he will get back to you. Unbeatable value for filters, pads etc. I don't know how he does it, but I can get delivery in Ireland from Steppers generally within 36 hours.

Top bloke. :thumb

FECK ME !!!

For two discs ( two pairs of pads ) I assume ?

Was that just for the pads....or did you pay someone to fit them ??

I use Carbone Lorraine front pads, which are about the dearest non-BMW pads, and they still only cost about half of that price ....

Hat and nailed on spring to mind.

That was just for the pads, Christ knows the cost of fitting...Live and learn I guess. Next time it will be non BMW pads, that's for sure. These fancy showrooms cost.

aye is a little ott

but when i got 60thou miles outa a set i cant realy grumble , i get 6000from a set on the rice rocket!

this is for the servo/abs bikes , ive been told they use diff pads then the non abs bikes ,which are alot cheaper.
Dunno how true that is so

EBC HH pads from motorworks 01484 353600.just fitted some, they have real bite. We'll see how long they last.Half the price of the BM ones. :D

I just changed the OE front pads on my 1200 after 27,000 miles and they still had over 2mm of material left on them. Actually I then put them back a week later for some off roading. The original BMW pads seem very long lasting, so the high price may not actually be that high in terms of £ per mile.

I've got a new set of EBC HH for roads use, time will tell how long they last. I think they were about £18 per side from the local bike shop.

Rear pads are a different story. The OE ones last me about 3000 miles, whereas EBC standard last about 15,000.

My experience is the EBC HH last just as long as the originals and I have been told my brake light seems to be on more than most :P

Dabs

Hey Hey DJ...

See what happens when you stop using your right boot around roundabouts. :D

Long live Super Motard.

R

( any consolation... I spent a grand on pads and 'rotors' (read discs) for that Yank tank of mine.. that's through a mate who got them trade too! )
