Just wanted to say a thank you to Ocean.

I ordered an oil filter (r1100) from them through ebay, and when it arrived it was for a r1200 not an r1100/1150. :blast :tears Ok so they have sent the wrong part, so messaged them.

This is the first time I have ever used Ocean, I've no connection to them except this order.

In the past when other companies have sent me the wrong part, the response I've had has been, post the old one back to us and we'll send you the correct part and return your postage.. Get my money back, but still a pain in posting it etc etc..

So this is what I was expecting, but no

Reply was 'Sorry our mistake, keep the oil filter we sent you, and the correct one is in the post'

This morning the correct oil filter turned up, along with a key ring and side stand puck. :beerjug:

So big thank you from me.. :thumb2

P.S. Am wondering if now I have an oil filter for an R1200, does this mean I need to buy a R1200GS/GSA to go with the new oil filter :blast
 
So you ordered something.
They sent the wrong thing.
You complained.
They sent the right thing.
Asked you didn't return the wrong item. (that they would have had to pay postage on).
You got a key ring as compensation.

I ordered a jacket from Ocean last year; sent in the post but the wrong size, or the labels on the box were different from the size of jacket.
Contacted them by phone, correct jacket dispatched same day and I was refunded for the postage it cost to return original.
Excellent service from Bill, well done ocean!!!
 
I have always had good service from Bill and Matt. Importantly they always remember your name. Also if they get it wrong they say so and put it right. Honesty goes a long way
 
I've had excellent service from Ocean in the past. Even down to being collected from the train station by them. Credit and praise where it's due :thumb2
