Looking at ideas for phone mounts. People recommend quadlock but also looked at peak designs. Don't want to damage my camera (Samsung s22). What ideas? Don't think I will be using the gps mount so could swap that out.

I got rid of the GPS mount (biggest waste of money ever a standalone GPS). My GS is 2019 so still had the useless power socket so swapped that out for a dual port USB which connects into the replaced socket loom.

I fitted the Quadlock (I have the same phone as you) with the wireless charger and the anti vibration mount and Quadlock also have a bracket that fits the bar perfectly.

Absolutely no worries about water stopping charging which use to happen on my V Strom as you no longer need to plug into the phone and its quite covered by the screen from the elements. plus should it be really wet you get a cover that also comes with the case that seals the phone.

Quadlock for me

Of course

This is the mount that fits the bar and look on the right you will see the anti vibration mount and wireless charger....they all fit together

The wireless mount comes with 3/4 different length usb cables (some USB C)

This is the BMW replacement if you have the older 'cig' lighter power socket.....it fits in the exact same place using the same connector. takes literally 10 minutes to fit

Thank you! Will have a look and see what I can organise

Quad lock, anti vibration mount and charger…….brilliant solution.

When my connected ride mount caused my phone to overheat in Spain, I had my wife bring me over my quadlock mount when she flew over. Always works flawlessly :thumb

I have the exact same quadlock setup on 2 bikes. No problems. One's a Harley Breakout, no damage thus far, if anything was going to cause damage by vibration, it'd be that :D

Tried UA before, ok but not quite as good, wasn't as happy with the clips rather that the faultless locate and twist.

I use SP case and mount. They’re similar the quadlock in that you can combine a wireless charger and an anti-vibration mount, but they also now have a new combined wireless charger and anti vibration mount out later this month, with is a much neater solution to me.

Quadlock for me

Hi, I have the same setup becuase of water ingestion last year in The Picos, just using the phones charging lead. I have yet to use it in anger. Have you ever had water creep up the charging lead into the back of the wireless charging unit? Water can do funny things in the strange environment behind the screen. Cheers.

What do you do with the power supply cable? A cap or something?

Plus 1 for quadlock. wireless charging a breeze. Quite simply it tis the best. Even Charlie Boorman use one :D

Swap your cigarette lighter socket for a usb version - nippy normans or ebay.

To do it properly and able to charge wirelessly - budget around a 100 notes or so.

There are copies/clones on ebay/aliexpress which is a route i would not go down to hold my £1200 phone.

No as the USB cables that is provided have a rubber seal on it when it pushes into the back of the charger...I add a bit of silicon grease to further help.
