This is what I fitted. It's lockable (via the plate stainless steel spigot AKA "nipple-proboscis"which firmly engages into the bikes pillion seat lock aperture / latch slot) and can released via the bike key in the same manner as removing the pillion seat.

Please note:
1) For extra rigidity and security, I always ensure the plate is firmly held in place with dedicated ancillary webbing straps;
2) When touring, I affix short sacrificial (caravan awning) primary webbing loops to the dedicated plate slots and use these loops to attach my long secondary webbing straps.

Thats nice, but overkill for me
I wonder what a rear seat would look like devoid of any foam or cover
It has got some holes in it, thinking about the tool kit, but i wonder if something could be molded over it to give a flat plate
a vac form plastic plate to give a template to go off with some acrylic or similar
BTW how do you find the TT/ KH low low seat,
Ive just bought one of the bay .. will be interesting to see what it's like
