Please respond if you've NOT had a 1200GS/GSA fuel pump controller failure

07 gs
just passed 24k
ridden 3-4 times a week but with 2 or 3 European trips per year
Ridden mostly in good weather but with plenty of soakings
Usually laid up for Dec/Jan (except for the odd warmer day)
No FPC problem but had an odd ignition problem (not EWS) and the tank fuel level sensor packed up.
Other than that, brilliant. If I won the lottery, I would only buy another one.

Havn't had bike long! Dec 05 model, 6K, NO FAILURE!

I know it was recalled for a new controller gasket. Also checked & cleaned it - no corrosion or moisture to report.

Can I just add, coming from a Honda background where everything is "nice" I cannot believe the negative vibes I have read on this forum! You lot have made me paranoid I am going to breakdown.

I for one don't believe that Europe's best selling bike is as bad as some of you make out!

I replaced the final drive outer seal 2 weeks ago, and 1 mainbeam lamp, that's it now't else to report.

I have an 08 GSA. The brake lines were replaced in January this year as a recall.

My local BMW shop advised me today my 2008 Adventure is on recall for a new fuel pump controller. It only takes 10 minutes to fix and they can install the controller while I wait any time.

I've had no problems with the fuel pump controller.

1200 GS '06 model
10700 miles ( mine since 5900 mls - Jun 09 )
Generally '3 season' riding, so all bar winter snow & ice.
Sometimes laid up for a week, or longer in winter. In shed.
No problems so far, but advised to remove and clean the unit, which i did and it was a bit corroded.
After further advice, bought a spare for continental trips, so it went with me to Spain, but has not required so far.
