Please respond if you've NOT had a 1200GS/GSA fuel pump controller failure

Fuel Pump Controller...

R1200GS on a 58 plate.
14,000 miles (I'm second owner and can account for 4,000 miles - used for "lawful recreational" purposes mainly at weekends)
Bike get used most weekends from April to October.

From what date did they start fitting the new FPC?

Basically the chief sign is that you will not be going anywhere

Carry a spare or make up the jury rig

09 1200 gsa, ex demo bike from isle of man bought november with 200 miles on clock. been to portugal and back, northern ireland and back and just had 3 week european trip. bike now has 10,000 miles on it, has not missed a beat and still looks brand new.

fuel controller bypass lead blue or yellow

please help,still confused about wich wire is + or -,on bypass lead.i am touring europe in 3 weeks on my o5 1200gs,and need to know.

i spray the unit externaly with ACF50,7500mls and no problem ,but what a poor design,the spray keeps oxidisation at bay,expells moisture and keeps the FPC looking like new though its crap that you have to take such measures on a £10,000+bike.

Solution is BMW contract electrickery to the japs problem solved..

21,000 miles with no problems, with anything, at all, ever.
No cleaning, no ACF50, no WD 40 no f*ck all.
FPC replaced by BMW as an 'update'.
Now on 22,000 miles still no issues.
