Garaged and never washed with Karcher o similar high presure devices.
I havent suffered yet, but last time in London I went and bought a fuel pump controller, seems the necessary part to have in your tool box, more so if you are out of Europe and BMW hugging arms

Not used much since October 08.
Only fault so far is a failed battery last week.

one of a handful of things that haven't gone wrong (yet) but she's all mine and I'm keeping her. I wouldn't get rid of the wife if she stopped performing well or started to cost me a bit more money, well not until a better model came along anyway.

Had new replacement bike 7 weeks after buying new when wiring loom failed!!
I've not had any issues with my fuel pump controller or in fact anything on my bike except the left heated grip failed. I ride in all sorts of weather and have not had any issues in snow, ice, grit, heat, touring, offroad etc. Mine is a 2007 model R1200GS Adv.
