Postcodes on Garmin Quest?

Is it possible to find routes on the Quest by typing in a postcode?
If yes, what's the secret?

No secret- just NO :(
:D

you can with a a 2720. maybe the quest 2 will be able to do it?

Depends what you mean really.

On the 2610 (so probably the 2620 and Quest are similar), if you are searching for an address, you can input house number, road name and partial postcode and be pretty sure of finding the correct road. Of course if there are two roads with the same name in the postcode area you'll have to choose the correct one.

But you can't search using only a house number and postcode - a full postcode identifies a street, eg "removed by PaulG" is the street on which I live but the Garmin units only use the "removed by PaulG" part which is the local area.

I haven't used a 2620 but I understood it to be effectively a 2610 with internal hard drive, I may be wrong.

if that refers to my post, i am talking about the 2720 not the 2620 :)

Mouse...call me paranoid,but that`s a bit of a security risk there,if it`s your genuine postcode.......

Cookie - whoops, my mistake, I misread your post :)

John, Tarka - Maybe you're right, I don't think it's very likely somone would track me down and steal my bike after reading these forums but if any moderator passing through would like to edit the post to remove the postcode, please do :)
