I have a 6 colour HP 8250 printer, great for photo printing, that worked perfectly on my new laptop with Windows 7. That was true up to about 3 weeks ago.

Then the photos started printing with unequal borders.

If I print directly from the printer, not going through the laptop, the are perfectly centred.

No additional software was installed, other than windows updates!

The is no driver on the HP site for Win 7, they say to use the preinstalled driver.

Any suggestions?

Obvious question, are you printing to the right paper size, particularly with phot paper, there are all sorts of sizes? Check all your print properties.

Ya, the photo tray will only take 6" x 4" old money, or 15 x 10 cm in new!

No changes were made when it started to act odd. Tried to clean the carriage in case of paper jams, foreign objects etc. Nothing!

I'll try again to remove and reinstall the printer and hope for the best!
