I'm only passing on what the P&A guy at BMW GB said yesterday. I'm not sure that what you're saying is completely incompatible with what I'm saying, mind you - in the past, press bikes have been pre-prod bikes for new models, perhaps this is the case this time as well.

Based on the answer from BMW gb, my dealer wouldn't add it to my GSA order. Have you got pricing for supply and fit?

£350 for the parts, and around £100 to fit (before any discount you may be able to negotiate). It has to be fitted at a dealer as the software will need to be updated.

Hmmm. And this is from Vines Guildford? I might have to switch dealers. Are you chopping the GS LC in against the GSA?

Yep, Vines Guildford. I won't be getting a GSA as I prefer the regular GS, and the GSA doesn't really float my boat.

Got info from my norwegian dealer yesterday

K50/R1200GS / K51/R1200GSA will NOT be buildt with Quick shift pro on the factory, but can be retrofitted on 2014 bikes.

Work must be done by dealer.

NOT possible to retrofit on 2013 bikes. (R1200GS K50)

No message about "not awailable until march"...

Mine arrived yesterday, lovely piece of kit, the splines are a thing to behold. dealer did warn me however that once fitted and coded to the ECU, the program cant be removed.
The unit itself replaces the first linkage from the gear change shaft.
Apparently a bit dodgy on down shifts, but "glorious" going up the 'box.
Mine being fitted prior to my collection from Williams Manchester on launch day.

Yep, my dealer said the same thing to me today, when I was in there dropping off the GS. So, like you, I'm hoping to have it all fitted at launch.

dead simple keep the throttle pinned no clutch no shutoff brilliant bit of kit had one fitted to my RC8R and it was fitted standard to my S100RR
