Pure Road Tyres Available??

Hi Folks,

Just had a trawl through the Tyre Manufacturer's websites to find road tyres for my 2014 GS Adventure. It looks like some of them haven't updated their websites for the larger profile watercooled tyres.

So does anybody know what pure road tyre is available for the GSA??

I've used Trail Attack 2 and Pilot Road 3 and 4 on my old Twincam GS but was wondering if there is a more sport orientated tyre available, as I do a few track days on the bike?

I currently have Metzeler Tourance Next fitted and have also tried Anaakee 3, neither of which I particularly like.

Highly recommend the Dunlop RoadSmart 2s. They were released in the LC sizes in Feb of this year.

I'm now on my second set, and they've been brilliant. Superb wet weather chemical grip (better than PR4s), and more surefooted at high speed without the squirm of the PR3/4s. Ran the GS on them at the Nurburgring, and they never lacked confidence in mixed conditions.

I'm not convinced that watercooled tyres will ever catch on

I loved the RoadSmart 1's on an older GS but wasn't 100% happy with the RS2's. Maybe it was all in my head, but I'm now loving the PR4's. I think the 3's could squirm, but haven't heard that much on the 4's.

Roadsmart 2....for me too. Brilliant and cheap. You wont be dissapointed.
