I now have a Garmin Quest ex UK. I need to get the maps for Swizzy/ Soutern Germany/ Mid France ...

1) How do i get them
2) How much do they cost
3) how do I back up the alredy loaded UK maps?

And yes I should read the manual , but under a bit of time pressure!

Thanks

The Quest has with the entire European Continent already loaded so no need to upload further maps.
Look in the Manual for coverage...

Mine didn't because the memory isn't big enough, just the UK and Ireland. Although it does have the base map but theres not enough detail to navigate with in that.

You need to upload them from Mapsource on your PC. If you don't know how to do that then I'm afraid it's a case of reading the manual.

Unless someone wants to type a quick guide on how to do this?

:)

1) load mapsource onto your PC
2) plug in quest via usb cable
3) start mapsource application
4) select tools & map
5) zoom out so the map squares are visible
6) select maps on the databar on the left so it will display what maps you have selected - noting the memory usage at the bottom
7) when you have selected all you want/filled up the 240mb, go to the send to device icon at the top of the screen and down load the maps etc you want.

The maps will overwrite whats already there, and the mapsource cd you got with it will have all the european maps on.

I'll now stop being an idle git, and read the instructions!
