The other option is it's a glass filled nylon part,
you could if you dried it out and used a suitable adhesive glue it back together (assuming it's GFN)
If you think about it, its suitably strong for the application its in.
It sits in it own housing ,and the working faces are engaged with the gear lever splines, so all it has to do is turn one way or the other.
if it breaks, the parts are contained in its own housing, so cant go anywhere .
You only found out i's broken because you removed it
