Can anyone help with the definitive shiming and seals set up when replacing the bendy oil filter. I have a service kit from Motorworks and a Clymer service manual I have also looked on
http://www.ascycles.com/Illustrated_catalog/R100GSPD(91-95)/catalog_frameset.html
And the parts shown and supplied are not the same - the missing link appears to be -
Motorworks don't include the paper gasket - they say you don't need it if Oil Cooler is fitted (and it is) - they don't include the Flat Washer (part 13) which is 34X3 flat washer - obviously this would increase the pressure on the seals if included - if omited I believe that you don't get any oil pressure and damage the engine big time!
The BMW Microfishe is also different -

In that it shows small dia washers at either end of the oil filter - the Malhe filter supplied by Motorworks has an integral rubber end piece at the bottom end but no washer at the front end.
Call anyone please clear this up for me before I put in the oil
