R100R clutch position switch

I reckon that the clutch position switch on my R100R has had it so i want to take it off.
Jve looked but cannot see how it comes off.

Just wondering if there is anybody here who knows how the switch is fixed in position.

The bike is a 1992 model.

Do you mean the microswitch built into the clutch lever? The one that syncs with the neutral switch in the gearbox?

Yes thats the one .
I can only start the bike in neutral , think the switch has had it .

Might just need some WD40 to free it up. But otherwise this picture (courtesy MaxBMW fiche) might help?

Yep got the little bugger out .
Going to replace it with a new one.

Have you tested the switch yet. A continuity test might help.
Also check the starter relay. I had a starter relay malfunction on a R80ST.

Yes its open circuit switch in or out
