R1150GS review in new BIKE magazine

You're right to be cynical. Was at my dealer's today. The salesman said that he has a lot of contact with BMW UK's Head of Marketing. Talking about he launch of the new K1300 in Southern Spain the BMW man said that Press Launches are a nightmare with most of the journos just wanting to go on the piss at BMW's expense. BMW ferry lots of bikes over and most of the journos take the bike out for a few miles, get the photographer to take a pic of them going round a bend, repair to the bar and then write a long article detailing their extensive test ride.

Which is precisely why articles such as this one are good to see.

I enjoy reading Kev Ash's stuff as he's normally quite comprehensive and covers some of the more worthwhile (Insert Boring here if you're a regular MCN reader :D) facets of the bike's attributes.

They still crap on about the 'funny' indicator switches.
To me its the logical best.
When I learnt to ride it was on a HondaCB500 thing and teh funny switch was stupid.
I like the BMW indicator switches and thats probably why I ride a Bmeer

also good to see that the deprectiation is still low.

enjoyed the article..............

don't normally read this mag but after reading your post i went to WH Smith and had a look.

Judging by the rise in 2nd hand 1150 prices, a lot of people are warming to them again in a big way.

(Speaking as an ex-1150, ex-1150 Adv, 1200 owner, that is).
