Hi, I have this problem on my GSA with my Sat Nav preparation. I had it working last year when I bought the bike, I used an Aliexpress compatible phone holder (with USB outlets).

After some time it stopped working and I thought it's only the phone holder adapter that is faulty.

Now, one friend borrowed me his Carpuride and I plugged it into my Sat Nav. Not working at all. Doesn't turn on

I unmounted my sat nav and plugged into his bike, plugged the Carpuride and it's working when connected to his bike. So the sat nav is not the problem.

Now, my question is, why it's not working when connected to my bike?

Can it have some sort of auto-turn-off if detects a short? Or maybe it got deactivated somehow in ECU.

Did anyone encounter this problem?

The plug wasn't damaged nor broken. It is OEM with no modifications on it.

Yes, the ZFE modules (control module) will cut off power if it detects a short in the wiring. If everything else on the Bike is working fine, i'd assume a fuse hasn't blown.

Given you've proved your unit works, i'd assume you have a wiring issue.

Check the pins in the cradle are not stuck in by gently pushing them in and they should return back out.

Did the bike have the sat nav prep from the factory?

The power supply is not activated if the sat nav prep wasn’t fitted from the factory.

I didn’t spec the sat nav prep on my 1250RS because I already had a cradle that I fitted myself. I thought the bike was faulty because the power supply to the nav kept cutting out.
I reported it to my dealer as I thought it might be a warranty job, only to be told the bike needs plugging onto their computer and activating.

I didn’t bother getting it turned on because it does work some/most of the time so I just cancel the “power supply interrupted” message on the nav and leave it to sort itself out.

A friend has a OBDlink and I will try to check the errors.

I already checked that and they are coming back, no problem at all regarding this

I don't know if the bike had sat nav prep from factory. But what you said make sense if it wasn't installed from factory. As said above, I will try with an OBDLink that is compatible to check for errors and maybe trying to activate.

Thanks all for the responses.
