With the spy shots and speculation about the imminent arrival of the new GS/GSA
I’ve been thinking about what I’d like to see added , removed or improved over the current bike.
I’ve had my first GS for a little over 18 months and 10000 miles and whilst I’m pretty happy with it there are some bits that will be on my letter to Santa. It’s not a long list.
I’d like BMW to put some serious work into making the quick shifter operate like the one on the XR or maybe a DCT version, I had a DCT Crosstourer and the gearbox was amazing.
Change the pillion pegs so that the rubber part is properly secure, my wife hurt herself when the grip twisted on the peg and she fell from the bike, cheap and piss poor IMO. Fitted Puig pegs and sorted it but shouldn’t have to.
Little more space under the seat would be nice, just enough to keep a puncture repair kit on the bike all the time maybe.
I think that’s about it.
I don’t think it needs more power or tech.
Be interested to hear what other more GS experienced owners think BMW should do to improve the bike.
