That's shocking. My dealer in Rotterdam wont even give me a date. Will demand the money back until they are able to deliver....

How ludicrous to launch a touring bike with no luggage available from the manufacturer

Anyone else got one yet. Sitting at dealers now waiting for first service and they have no fekkin clue….
Blaming BMW for complete radio silence and 100’s of unhappy punters. Not the dealers fault really…..

According to the Sales guy at my dealer the side panniers are also no longer available
New GSA’s are being delivered without panniers. Apparently same manufacturer. BMW can’t / won’t give any info.
Back log in Holland is from October last year when the model was launched. Apparently about 3000 people waiting. My bike was delivered in April so my guess I will be around number 2456 in line 🤣🤣🤣

@IanC86. You must be the only person in Europe that has one…..
How is it?

My guess problem is only going to get worse. No top boxes being delivered or even made but loads (400 per month) odd new GSA’s rolling off the production line and many with full luggage ordered. Problem simply compounds and they will never catch up. Looks like I’m riding this years trips with roll bag….
Just irritating frankly….

my dealer (vertu sunderland) have loaned me a givi top box and base plate ,because as said they canot tell me when to expect a genuine top box,i paid for it in december
its a sham realy on BMW,s part not the dealers

I know it’s of no great help.

I fitted a black topbox from eBay. It cost £50 new and delivered. Now £61.98. If you watch it. They will send you an offer.
It’s 45lt lined, lockable and has a backrest.

The supplied base plate would not line up without modification to the BMW Carrier.

So I drilled 4 6mm size holes in the base of the topbox, then bolted it directly to the rear carrier with M6 Stainless Cap head bolts. 4 x black M6 x 15mm x 15mm plastic spacers and 8 x 19mm stainless rubber roofing washers. One each side of the Topbox base. These keep it totally waterproof.

Total cost was about £65.

It may be temporary. It may be my permanent fix.

Do you have the electronic carrier Nick ? Wondering where you fit it on the rack ? Thanks

Yes. It’s there and in place.

With the black spacers. The topbox clears the top of the electrical cover.
Plenty of clearance underneath and just enough that the bottom of the topbox misses touching the grab handles when you push it from side to side.

A feature on the rack to help prevent instability I’m told.

Looks a neat solution Nick. 👍

Has Mr Marshal been off-roading, on his new GSA1300? 😱
