As the BMW club event of which you speak is at The Spittal--ie about a 10 minute drive from home-- it will be far more of a pleasure to ride to Rannoch---and get Ronno's company thrown in. I will doubtless call up to Spittal at some point over the weekend to meet up with chums, having caused so much trouble recently in the ranks of the BMW Club averting an attempted weegie takeover of the Scottish Section. Actually having reread Ronnos poem, thats what he should be--thrown in. Fishing event again anyone??

I tried phoning the tearoom several times yesterday: no reply from there or the station

Same result this morning so I phoned a business in the area (thank you google). The station tearoom is closed due to a water problem that Network Rail are supposedly trying to fix but making no apparent progress.

I'll try and fix up lunch at the Dunalastair Hotel in Kinloch Rannoch but they have a wedding on Saturday so might not be too keen on a load of bikers in the place. I'll phone them shortly.

Forget the Macdonald Hotel. It's a fiver for a plate of feckin soup

Change Of Venue And Menu

The Rannoch Station tearoom is closed indefinately due to a water problem.

Watch this space for the new venue...

It will either be the Moulin Hotel or the Glen Lyon Tearoom...whichever one it is, I'll still be there for 13:00 hrs on Saturday.

Edit: HRH can't make it due to work so he's oot. If Rab is still comin, it'll be The Moulin Hotel cos Glenlyon is a 10 hour round trip for him. If he's not, it'll be Glen Lyon. We'll know tomorrow which venue it is (plus Glen Lyon is shut on a wednesday so we can't find out if it's still open until tomorrow anyway). I'm guid at organisin these lunch meets, eh?
