Nice 240 mile bimble today up to Gairloch and then on up to Aultbea and back to Garve, Hot day and only one sharp short rain shower so all in all fine ride out with my pal Duncan, (ex bike cop) Now sitting at 549 miles so by time it gets to Aberdeen its will be 620ish

Fortunately none, everything is fine AFAIK. Q/S is smooth as butter, no ticking or funny noises from the engine. No funny messages on the TFT so all is well.

Yeah, but to be able to play i have to work, so weekdays are a no-no. Although i am trying to cut down on work its not easy.

Your right hoping to be able to cut down on work as finances allow, can retire next April if i want but only get 70% of my state pension so would need to work at least part time.

Rennie's right, they lost the plot years ago, the same daft ideas from 20 years ago are being regurgitated again. Didn't work then and sfa has changed, apart from having so many different director's of standard's you wonder how we coped for all those years beforehand.

They lost me the moment they stabbed Mick Kinghorn in the back. I just got sick of using my time so they could earn more money, thats all its about now. All that "corporate" crap made them lose sight of what they were supposed to be about. They lost a lot of exceptional bikers, Rennie & Mick (Rennies successor) just to name a couple and a hell of a lot of good lads at grass roots level too. I'd climbed the slippery ladder as far as i could go and lost interest, although the things i was taught, by some very good people have stuck with me, and i still ride in the manner that Roadcraft suggested.
