custom are same price..
I am in the market for some Ohlins shocks too. I spoke to motorworks and they said the price was the same for a standard Ohlins or a custom Ohlins - just a 3 week wait. Never bothered with TT! Maybe a custom is the BM515?
There are 2 different for the 1150adv rear, BM215 and BM515. Heavy duty spring and different rate (on the BM515) but not sure what the equates to in the real world of pillion or luggage. Is the BM515 for "hard" offroading only? - anyone?
Have a look here: https://wwwsecure.info/phillipmccallen-com/products/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=155 as they are cheaper than TT and MW...
Will probably buy from them as front is £395 and rear is £436 (free shipping too) whereas MW is £529 rear, £478.40 front. TT is a kidney.
I thought the custom built Ohlins were more like £900 - £1000 for the rear (hence the two prices quoted by TT). I'm also curious to hear from anyone who has bought the 'off the shelf' Ohlins for around £500. I would have thought that my requirements would be classed as 'average' i.e. Mainly solo, a bit of off-road and the occasional weekend camping with a pillion.
Any thoughts?

I'll contact them and check availability. By the way, does anyone know if there's any duty or vat to pay on stuff from NI? I know it's a bit different but I bought some parts from the states - around £40 - and had to pay vat, import duty and a post office handling fee - another £24, so please excuse my caution.
