Hi all so I have a rear flat😩 it looks like it may be a bit of wire smack bang in the centre so may be repairable but if it isn’t then what’s a good all round replacement? 95% of the time it will be road use with a bit of gravel but I do like an off road look?

Thanks all

Always run Metzeler Next 2 on my prev. GS,s. My latest new1300 GS had Michelin Anakee Adventure fitted and I prefer them personally, great on Road and light dirt. Always wear earplugs so for me not a problem with noise.

I was getting a road 6 fitted to my 13gs today and expert tyre man said the Anakees were a good tyre and very popular.

They work OK, but are also pretty noisy. I'll be going back to Trail Attacks when mine wear out.

Just had a pair of conti trail attacks fitted today….
Used them on my 1200, and 1250…..so know how they behave, and like them.
Not “chunky, off road” looks, but I’m fire with that as my gs will stay on the roads…..have a R80GS basic for trails.

Michelin Road Pilot 6 gave me good grip - before that Tourance Next 2 which were also very good.
Both less noisy than the Anakee in my experience.
95% tarmac 5% dry trails

i loved the Next and Next2 on my 1200GSA - went through many sets - they were a revelation when i first tried them (after Anakee 3's)

my new-to-me 1300GSA has the awake adventures on them - in my head, i 'think' they shouldn't be as good as they look like a "field tyre" - so its interesting to me that you prefer the adventures .

I've only done a few hundred miles on the new bike - but will try to keep an open mind on them - the noise doesn't bother me, they just look like a tyre i shouldn't be working hard on the road.

Had my Tourances round Donington last week on my 13GS , they did well for a 47 degree lean .

They’ve certainly earned their keep…
I find them a brilliant road tyre in wet or dry but of diminished responsibility when it comes to a wet grass verge.
The bike’s electronics really start to work hard with them when on gravelly tarmac.

I have had Dunlop Mutants fitted to mine.
