Rejected Toilets

I don't agree with this practice as it leaves customers of the first models short changed and makes them unpaid development testers when they give feedback/complaints back to their dealer which inturn helps the manufacturer improve the model.

Hardly fair is it?

No, it's not.

So vote with your feet, and avoid buying any new BMW :thumb2

I tell ya what you do genuine deserve a replacement, and a great result steve tis a shame you could not wait a month a get the 2015 bike tho !

Out of interest how could you find out if a bike had been rejected or not?

You cannot the dealer will not disclose this info so im told and i was asked not to disclose the reg no of my bike. I do feel for the person whom brought the bike for top dollar tho as it ended up being a workshop built bike ! Alternative if you buy a used bike and the last owners details are on the v5 I'm sure you could always track them down, bit to late tho if you've already brought it .

That's easy .... they will have a mark on the tank panel just like this one

I have been informed today by BMW customer services that a gearbox/clutch fix is now available.
I await contact from the dealer to have this work, whatever it may be,carried out.

Must say I'm not confident it's going to be a fix,and have already discussed PX for a 2015 bike but it was not a good deal.

I've had a very good offer on px for an Explorer, and I'm off to have a go on a Stelvio on Thursday.

Sad, as I really like the WC but I just cannot live with the gearbox.

Any info on the latest fix??

It would seem that 70,978 people don't agree with you (Jan - Jun 2014).

According to the purveyors of Bavarian Finery around 45% of ALL new BMW mortocycles sold in the last year were 1200GS LCs!

As soon as I speak to the dealer who has yet to speak to BMW technical,I'll let you know

Steve

Cheers Steve, will be interested to hear what they say. Mine is going in on Saturday for its 6K/1 year service so I'll see if they know anything but it will depend who's on! Mine varies last Sunday on run to the coast it wasn't too bad apart from 2-3 & 3-2 but over days it's also bad between 3-4 & 4-5, 1st usually makes the bike jump and neutral is normally ok. I can put up with 1st but otherwise it can be disappointing although possibly not bad enough for a new bike? Apart from this it is the best bike I've had (out of 12 including 6 other bmw)!!
