I've just 'invested' in a CE605 - basically takes some of the heat away from stator. Not installed as yet as waiting to get a spare stator rewound and do both together.

It's probably worth reading up on shunt / parallel / MOSFET / Shindengen stuff before deciding which route to go.

That's a long list of bikes and i'm dubious as to the 650 single having the same charging system as ours. I remember there are bits that cross over but can't remember which. I'd also be wary of what an RR is connected in terms of if it does go wrong... Annoyingly i did have a list of all the dealer part prices and recall some bits only being sold as kit. I think you can actually get the RR on it's own however i'm guessing it was suitably more expensive than the one listed.

The single has a very similar system from what I recall, the VR's on them are Hitachi or Denso I think, the same as on a multitude of Japanese bikes, for example Suzuki Bandits I think use the same VR.

As far as I'm aware there's nothing unusual or clever about the system on the F twins?
