Retrofit 12GSA lights?

I was told that the aux lights where factory fitted option, i believe all the wiring is added at the factory. But I could be completely wrong but that is the way i was advised.

For sure a retrofit will be possible but it will probably cost more. I can't remember how much the lights were when I ordered mine but they were not enough for me to consider doing it myself. If the lights turn out to be crap I will replace them with Micro DEs.

Just got out of dealer....
Parts work out at about 400Euro with Vat.
Plus about another 100Euro Labour
The lightbar only works out at 95Euro.. That's more than my complete lighting system cost me on the 1150GS.
The printout I got from the parts dept has "CANNOT BE RETROFITTED" written on it.
Anyone know any alternative options for the 12GSA?

I have checked my bits of paper, they cost €280 = £192 when factory fitted.

I came up with this lowcost-solution, 25mm pipeclamps, cost me about 1£ a piece, and the lights were bought at a carpartsdealer, 2 for about 30£.Padge said:

I don't have the accessory plug on the bike, so I guess I'll have to snake from the battery..

Spent a few days in your neighbourhood a last year.. Walked out of a bar in Lulea at 2am.. And was still bright..I thought it was the Absolute.

I have now sorted out the wiring, I connected it from the wires going to my homemade unswitched 12V outlet via a 12V relay that is triggered from the white high-beam wire by the headlight. I also installed the option to shut down the auxiliary lights by a switch installed on a small console to the right of the left handlebar. The relay is located behind the left sidepanel in the cavity where the mountingbracket for the tank is located. Nice that you have been in the neighbourhood by the wayPadge said:
