Ta, but they’ve been there for a couple of years . That’s why many of us route in via the CA281 and 484 as we will in two weeks, thus avoiding the N621 between Panes and Potes, which is the trouble spot.
Must admit I thought they be gone by now but thanks for the update.
I'll be heading to Potes from Santander next Thursday, I'll be using the CA-281 to avoid the N-621, route already planned.
I did this road last week, well large parts of it but carried on to Cervera not Potes. A lovely new surface on the southern section including resurfacing the car park at the viewpoint just after where you turn west for Potes. There are some stunning routes off the main ‘usual’ Picos biking roads and we spent a week in Panes exploring all the lesser used routes and they’re fab

One of my favourite hotels anywhere in the world .
Lovely location , beautiful building , fabulous food, huge g & ts and friendly staff, most who have been there since I first went about 10 years ago.
Looking forward to getting back in a couple of weeks but we’re only doing 3 nights .
