I had a Nivala suit for 5 years. I ride all year, all weathers & it was faultless.
I changed it 2 years ago for a Klim Kodiak as I found a good deal. This too has been faultless but I would say that the Rukka was more comfortable.
I think the trick with laminate suits is to wash them regularly with Nik Wax Tech wash & tumble dry to reactivate the Gore-Tex.
If I buy another suit it will be a Rukka or Klim.

I've had a Rukka Nivala 2.0 for about 6 years now, its been used for trails and road and I've no complaints other than the eternal wet crotch. I haven't found another suit with the comfort, or large size of armour that the Rukka has.

It's a bit hot for trail riding, as the ventilation isn't amazing, but the two zips up to each armpit help. In Wales particularly three layer laminated suits make sense and I just unzip the jacket if hot. The small vents on the front seem like a token.

I've had a new zip on the jacket under warranty (I think that was a common complaint on this generation).

I can't decide what I want next but am thinking about changing it. I quite like the waterproof liners that can be worn inside or outside the jacket (as on the Rukka Trek-R) so might try that next.

All rukka gear I have had leaked. Bought Stadler with the money they refunded me. That leaked. Bought Richa and no more leaks. Each time you get refunded the cost of purchase but 3 years on, inflation is so high, the actual replacement of Rukka with Rukka costs you 30% more...

My Rukka Gortex laminate textiles are 10 years old now and they've never leaked. On a trip with the Triumph forum to the NE we had a day where it pissed down and not only did I remain dry, but my stuff dried out a lot quicker than the z liner kit some of the others had, some of which was still hadn't dried out fully next day. I had a z liner Gortex golf suit and that used to transfer the cold when it was wet too, which was another reason I got laminate bike gear.

Bought a Richa Atlantic 2 Gore Tex jacket and trousers from Bridge in Exeter for £1,295. AA rated, good fit and the trousers come with braces.

As I said, I've had no issues, especially in that area. However, I'm now of an age that if I did feel damp in the crotch area I'd suspect bladder control!

I bought a Rukka Pathfind-R jacket to replace my old Halvarrsons. Admittedly, I got it at sale price so it came in at around £400 bringing it into affordable territory. What I really like is the generous cut allowing for layering but with enough adjustment to get it snug but even more importantly, the extra large coverage area of the armour. Way more coverage than any other jacket I've owned and top tier ghost armour. What I don't like is the lack of ventilation although the side vertical zips for sinching fit do allow some air flow into the jacket. Material is super heavy denier cordura. You don't get the optional full length back protector which is pretty mean spirited of Rukka given the £500+ RRP of the jacket. So far it has kept me toasty warm in colder weather, allied to my heated vest I can cope with freezing conditions and the neck has a comfortable fleece lining. Quality is up there with the best. Double stitched seams everywhere, generous cuff Velcro adjusters allowing for eve gauntlets to be neatly zipped under the cuffs. This is important for me as my winter pair has a battery pack in the upper glove so pleanty of room needed. It felt a little stiff when new but is much more comfortable several thousand miles in. Totally rainproof thanks to the goretex liner.

All in all, I can't think of a better jacket for the money and am glad I took the plunge with Rukka. It feels like it will last the distance and with the goretex lifetime warranty to fall back on, I have no worries it will continue to keep me dry.

I bought a Klim suit fro Sportsbike shop in Leeds back in 2016, but returned it immediately as it felt uncomfortable when I sat on the bike...... I exchanged it for a RevIt Dominator Jacket and pants which I have worn ever since, this suit has remained outstanding and dry

RevIt gets my vote although the relative prices have increased beyond what I paid in 2016

I don't mind that. I bought a Rukka Chariklo jacket in the Louis.de sale before we left the EU. I already had 4 level 2 back protectors that came with other jackets. They are a pretty universal fit. I am using a SAS-Tec one that was originally fitted in a Hein Gericke Cruise 3 jacket when they made proper Goretex stuff, maybe bought 2010 ish when I was commuting into Cardiff.

Although, reading https://www.bohnarmor.com/blogs/news/bohn-body-armor-expire-care-replace which talks about SAS products, maybe after several years, I should review using stuff that is now older than the 10 year recommendation. Although, it does pass the squish test they suggest.
