This is before the bike was laid up for the winter ( i know i am a big girls blouse) I dont have a photo of the thing now but it is rusty and horrid

don't bother cleaning it, keep it covered in lube you won't see the rust.

Does no one use drylube? I think its a no brainer,keeps the chain fine and clean without picking up grit and dirt.
I hate the build up of gunge on a chain when chain wax/lube is used.Once it is ingrained onto the chain,around the rollers and on the edge of the side plates not to mention around the front sprocket,it becomes full of grit,then turns into a grinding paste.

Lots of sports bike bods rave about the Wurth dry lube
I am never convinced that it doesn't wash off too easily in the rain but then look at the state of my chain with good lube and a liberal and regular routine !
