Serious issue....

I agree Mike, but in fairness to the op if you’ve paid for a service it should have the correct amount of oil in it without having to check.

As you suggest all may well be ok.

For what it's worth I rode my GS from Strontian to the south coast with no oil in the sight glass.

It was clattering when I got back but half a litre of dead fossils , and it was fine

I'd be asking why there was low oil just after a service. They charged you for 3 litres of the stuff.

We ran our C90 for the last 2 hours of an endurance race with no oil. Used the engine in the next three 6 hour races.

Are the tingly fingers definately down to vibration or could it just be the riding position or even glove a little too tight restricting circulation

Same gloves, same riding position...

Just a thought, Have you adjusted your riding hand position since buying this new bike?
Hands from elbow should be in straight line when rested on clutch and brake levers, most people forget that new bikes may be suited for a smaller or taller rider, hence wrist might be slightly bent when pulling in clutch or depressing brake levers. Increasing strain and blood circulation to fingers, meaning tingly finger syndrome experienced.
It is also for faster and safer braking too, no moving fingers up and onto lever.
Hope this helps.

Exactly that.
Just need to figure out the finger tingling vibration now.
Good to hear. Some bikes just do that at specific frequencies, my ye olde K100RS was one of those, a steady 70mph would lead to white fingers!

It never did it before the service.

I'm thinking maybe an over tightened chain ?

Good shout many dealers are guilty of that. Nothing trashes a chain more quickly. Hope you get sorted. If it was my bike I'd ask to see the mechanic then kick his arse till his nose bleed. :D

Just the sump he filled the car with icecream and made it into a tasty dessert
@Robbi , " 50 /46 miles at motorway speeds " Tinging hands perhaps caused by lack of movement/ sustained static position. i.e. constant throttle position, no clutch or front brake use ?
