The Problem.
Bike (4months old) in for 6K Service with local dealer. Just got phone call to say they had found Cylinder Head stud stripped in the casing!!!! (Now I wonder how that happend) No admission that they broke it.
I got the service early as I have a trip (Belfast to Turkey) booked starting 25th June. Sadly I did ask them to make sure every thing was tightend down. (But not that bl***dy tight)
Suggested BMW Solution.
A repair to the Casing thread! bike back on road by 22nd June Or wait 2 - 3 weeks for new casing. Trip to Turkey boll**ksed
What do I do? Apart from cry?
What does the warranty give me. Going up to discuss politley with them tomorrow morning
Any Advice on How good are the repairs to Stud Casing Threads?? Or general advice about how to deal with this?
Could this have happened in Manufacture?
I could rant for longer but I have go home on the death trap of courtesy bike the have lent me.
Imaybelost very frustrated.
