Had my 6000 service done in France at 5500 miles so the service due indicator was not showing and therefore not reset by the dealer, noww it shows service in 0 miles. Can I reset this myself or is it a dealer job?

Well that's new to me. 06 Model does not have one of them:thumb

Its a September 07 model. I know on cars now that the manufacturers have to give this info but not sure about bikes, the manual doesn't mention it.

This is a new feature of the '08 bikes and it's a dealer job to reset the Service Indicator.

That's me buggered then:blast

Planning to hang onto my 06 then get an 09 in the spring. BMW have not seen mine since 12,000 mile service...I do my own and now at 45,000.

Shoot will have to see how we can disable that bit then....

Looks like I will have to get one of those error log blue tooth thingamajigs or some black maskers to tape over it:thumb
