Just some pics of me and my mates trip from Santander to the Porto and back, 10 day 5 camp sites 3 hotels and 2 beds on a ferry!
My trip started in Bracknell then to Torquay to meet my mate and then off to Plymouth for my first speeding ticket! And We jumped onto the boat to Santander! Hit Santander then along the north coast to gijon were we camped in a very and I mean basic campsite! And had one to many ciders pored from about three feet! ( a must see)
Then we headed to la coruna passed through santeago de compostela and made our way down to a place called Praia da barra just in time for the world moto cross!! We spent another 4 days making our way back! Through Vila real, Geres, ponferrada, Leon, Oviedo, and back to Santander! Met the coolest chap in the boat queue! (He is on here somewhere came off his gs in Morocco and left his bike boots in the ferry queue in spain!)
Had a great time and now it's time to plan next years trip!

Now that must have been a very good trip!

We went down in to Portugal a few years back, I planed most of your coast route originally (using Michelin map) but went inland instead, would love to do it again :thumb2

Nice trip .. looks like all went well ...Spain is such a great place to go on a Gs !:)

Looks a mite chilly on the tops of the hills! We went in early June and ended up riding south east towards Valencia to avoid the rain. Was cold too but no snow.
Looks like you had the best of the weather. Great trip. Nice 1.:thumby:

Excellent :thumb2

You've got to love Spain & Portugal.

Hoping to get back there next June myself.

Santander

Myself and another 3 amigos are on the LD boat from Poole to Santander on Saturday night (10th), we have a place booked on the night we arrive and apart from that, nothing else.... I can't fekin wait:bounce1:beerjug::beer:

Should be a hoot!!!!

Sunday 25th May, 4 of us on Plymouth-Santander heading right down to the Algarve (i've just bought a flat down there) Stopping in León and Manteigas (Hotel Berne, as recommended on here :) ) via as many twisties, hilly bits and National Parks as possible.
3rd riding day is going to be long at 350 miles and there is a section of the A23 that we can't seem to avoid without a ball-ache. How do we pay for the electronic tolls, seems foreign plates can't pay later at a Post Office. Some tolls are booths but this motorway is overhead scanning :nenau

I recently spoke to a Portuguese mate about the new automated Portuguese tolls, he basically said ignore them and don`t pay.
Though I do confess that my trip down to the Algarve in July is routed to ensure I divert off the A22 as soon as I cross the border from Spain and take the coast road

Thanks for the advice, I tried the link but it comes back that my number plate is not Portuguese!
Think we will just risk it and see if anything ever appears on our doormats.

Just got in from a wet and boring ride, got to get close to 600 for 1st service tomorrow, will pm you to meet up but just realized my subs are due. I'll get my finger out and get sorted after a bath to thaw out!

Do you want some cool routes and places to eat and sleep here?

Any one can help me how to draw a map in google maps or any other toll to draw it :)?

I've been using Garmin Basecamp, I know you can download it free for a Mac.
Otherwise, the old fashioned way of place names and road numbers!
