Spare FPC replacement?

Got a call from my bike dealer yesterday about the FPC recall.

Now, like many of you I purchased a spare FPC unit to take away on trips.

So just wondering, am I entitled to get a refund or a new type replacement for it? Any thoughts? Is it even still worth carrying a spare?

I will be carring a spare and hopefully be getting it replaced - having said that it was purchased in March so maybe ok.

They'll probably say that only FPC's covered are those fitted to a bike as it's a bike improvement. I'd keep the spare though with me on the bike.

+1 for carrying a spare. I have had a new black coloured FPC fail in short order which was replaced by BMW for another new black one. This I know.

My bike is an 07 one. Got a message on my mobile last week from Maddocks to contact them about a recall on my bike. I haven’t had a chance to get in touch yet.
Now I’m only guessing from reading this forum that it’s the FPC recall as I’ve had all the other recalls (AFAIK) seen to.
