does at 6000 rpm

I'm taking my 1150 back to the shop as its obviously a duff one as it wont do 130.9 mph

Has anyone chanced 6th gear sprocket from a Adventure to a stantard model r1150gs. With these speedlimits that we have here the 6th gear is allmost useless.

Would be tempted at least if some other reason for opening the gearbox comes along.

It can be done but requires a new shaft and the lower 6th gear gear plus the rebuild cost.
Best and easiest is to fit an "R" gearbox (lower 6th) or the final drive from an 850 or 1100 giving overall lower ratios.

+1, it also means that 1st is better off road, less clutch slipping required.
