Hi, bought a 1200 GS in Aug 05..been off the road since Nov because of foot surgery. Tried to get back on today, found the speedo wouldnt work. Any ideas?

Is it that the speedo needle didn't budge from zero when you rode the bike?
There are a handful of threads reporting speedos 'sticking'. apparently after the bikes were washed, the back of the instrument cluster being to a degree open. These bods had the instrument(s) replaced under warranty. Put 'speedo' into the advanced search and chose 1200 from the dropdown menu.
