Split link/Chain size

what size is the standard chain on the 450?

had to give my split link away yesterday so need to buy a new one.

Spilt links are NOT universal!

For a 520 chain, consider:

• Pin diameter - they vary - although 5.2mm is quite common
• Pin length - an O or X ring chain is wider than a basic chain
• Side plate thickness also varies

Pitch and roller diameter are pretty standard though.

What brand is it? The maker's name is probably stamped on the sideplates.

Just get some from your local dealer, they are only about £3 each, i didn't check and got some 520 links from another bike shop and when i came to fit one , the pins were too short.

if the link doesnt have o rings they are thinner so wont fit an o ring chain

i bought a 520 renthal f3 link which should fit
