I've got an annoying problem with my '03 1150GSA twin spark. It only seems noticeable at tick-over or when pulling away & is intermittent perhaps pointing to an electrical issue. I've had a couple of issues with a slight misfire at low revs which was sorted after Steptoe diagnosed an issue with the secondary coil which I've changed for a new one. The misfire has gone but the bike hunts at tick over & on occasions will splutter & very rarely cut out all together. When pulling away it also splutters very briefly but once again intermittently, but when moving pulls smoothly throughout the rev range without any hint of a misfire.
The main coil sticks have both been replaced with new ones as has the TPS, its had a new fuel filter recently as well. TB's were balanced when I saw the guru but its been to bits since then for a new clutch and may have been knocked out but the issue existed before the clutch change. It also dips in revs by about 200-300 rpm if the brake is applied at tick-over then recovers (servo / ABS system).
Has anybody had a similar issue that could throw any light on the subject please?
