Hi,
I have a R1200gs 05, which will not start / nor turn over in gear with the clutch pulled in.
If the bike is stalled - it has to be returned to neutral before the starter will operate.
Recently I had a problem with the gear indicator sensor [ water ], fortunately 1st and neutral were the only ones showing and I could start the bike, but it made me aware that if neutral had not been visible, I would probably been left with a dead bike until the sensor dried out.
Is this common for them not to start in gear with the clutch pulled in - or thoughts on what I can do to correct this,
Thanks
Mac

) then the canbus doesn't get the signal that the clutch has been pulled in and won't let you start the bike. As Casper says, if you squeeze the lever gently, you should hear a faint click from the switch.
