STATE OF THE ROADS

a lot of the roads round here have been "repaired"
lasted 2 to 3 days and the holes were back,
shoddy as feck, its worse now as theres the holes, gravel and the bits thats come out of the holes all over the road now

When did you move to Fife?

I broke the front springs on my auld Audi A2 coming back from Galsgow at the Auchterarder turnoff on 10th Jan, made it home to Nairn OK, when I got the springs replaced at local garage I explained the story and was told to claim from my insurance, I thought would be a non starter but they have agreed to cough up - bill for the springs & other associated strut top bearings etc was over 400 quid !!

Still havent paid out yet but its 'pending'.. so we'll see :augie

shouldnt affect NCB only my q low excess so cant complain really..

My old man hit a pot hole an buckled a wheel, 375 quid for a new wheel an 190 for a tyre, i'll tell him to try his insurance too. He's gonna get on to the council try an make a claim but pretty sure he just be wastin his time....

Maybe not, I'm sure I've seen other threads on here about successful claims.

My car windscreen seems to be collecting stone chips these days from all the loose stones and assorted grit debris which is littering the road just waiting to get picked up and propelled as lethal missiles by other traffic. Got to the stage now where I may need to call the Autoglass man for one of their resin repair jobs.

roads

the day of the sports bike is over...you have to sit high and be ready to lift the front end at a seconds notice these days,,i've seen better roads in Bolivia
