Just to say, my Dad got his little A class re-registered with no probs. He had to make an appointment, but got one within a few days. He was in and out in about 20 minutes.
They took the hand written receipt grand.
Just over 900 euro to bring it in, for an 03 1.7 litre car.

Aye , Just over Eur900 , to import a wee motor , No Mention of the
Public Servants ""Fleet""
But they will probably use the Eur900 to pay some fat cat
public servant a bonus for creating a ""Special""hoop for old age pensioners jump , through to get their heating allowance............

Just to qualify your statement. if you were to pay the market rate to fund your pension over your working life it would cost you €1.2m so be grateful and not so testy over paying a levy..... remember its a levy not the actual cost of the pension you are paying.

Can I ask where this figure of €1.2m came from and what the yield per annum is from such an investment and is it based on a particular salary?

Some how i dont think the ""Mortgage payers V Defaulters""
Will EVER be an issue in this or any other country .
The
"Public Squandering Servants of this country V the ordinary punter""
has been a reality because they have always had ,
a very much "us and them" mentality .
The difference now is its ,,still us and them except that their wee
dictatorial world is having a bigger impact on "US" the ordinary worker
than it used to have ,,, Its the same costs , we just cant aford their rules and red tape anymore..
Basically ,,, They are still shovelling the same amount of Bullshit to the
punter , its just the tolerance level has dropped.........
To keep the Public squanders in their respective roles as "Hoop" makers , is one third of our nations borrowings
and they are still crying ,, come on lads the rest of the country , or those that can work in it are getting hit hard ,
real hard , without any of the Comfort guarentees you lot have and we have to take it on the chin ,
what do you lot do ,,,,,,, Yip , Think of the passport fiasco ,,,,, you guessed ,, you hold the country to ransome,,

I had originally written a long rant about your opinion but decided you are not worth it. No doubt I will now be lumped in with all those other people who are leeching off the hard pressed taxpayer - the unemployed, the students, the pensioners, the bed blockers and anyone else who does not agree with your views. And yes you guessed right I am a public servant.

I'm not a public servant, nor am I married, related or in any way connected to any that i know of, but it seems to me that public servants are hard working tax payers too. Maybe not the most senior ones, but the vast majority. If you want to see holding the country to ransom, go to spain or france during a period of unrest. A friend of mine was almost pulled off his 1100RT in spain during a demo designed to bring a small city to a standstill, when he tried to filter through the traffic jam caused by the demo.

As for the mortgage defaulters v non mortgaged or mortgage paying householders?. It will happen when the mass defaults happen next year and the wanke.....sorry governm.....sorry IMF start using public ( our ) money to bail out the lenders...again.

There was some shithead from the ESRI on the news last night proposing a €960pa property tax in order to raise €1.1billion. This figure was based on every household in the country. He then liisted the possible excemptees.
Yes you guessed it, our friends the mortgage defaulters were in there again, along with recipients of social welfare, oap's and people who burdened themselves with huge bank loans. It's them and us again. They **** up, we pay.

I think that Civils problem is that he just wants someone to blame for the fact that his poor little bus driving job is probably not doing too well lately because of lack of tourism and what not or maybe it is because John McGinley's bus service is better in that part of the country so the easy target for his anger and rants are the public servants.
