I should change this
What's that bit of software that stops your ISP throttling your download speeds?

I'm sure someone posted about some software that, if you were downloading torrents (heaven forbid) it would prevent the powers that be from discovering you and prevent your ISP putting restrictions on your download speeds.
Or something.
Perhaps it's something to do with your settings then?![]()
) then make sure you just download the file you need not the nfo file thats often attached to torrents as apparently it's this file that makes it easy for providers to identify it's a torrent (so I've heard)you maybe talking about peerguardian which acts like a firewall and blocks alot of certain IP's seeing your PC, you'll find when installed the odd site won't work due to the advertising on the site just switch PG off it's straight forward to do.
And as far as I'm aware if you do such things as torrents (heaven forbid) then make sure you just download the file you need not the nfo file thats often attached to torrents as apparently it's this file that makes it easy for providers to identify it's a torrent (so I've heard)
HTH
I tried watching that program about Victoria Falls on iplayer last night but it kept buffering so much I tried downloading it instead. It took nearly 2 hours to download a 50 minute program.
I seem to get more buffering when on the YouTube etc. than before.
What's the hold-up?![]()
you will have to download all files contained in the torrent anyway. don't see any harm in that myself, but would be interested in seeing the source of your info..
