Erm, dyou want to take off the little panel in the pic or the whole lot from the bar.

If its just the switches :-

Take out the screw to the right, remove the mirror ( 6mm allen )
theres a small screw behind it, remove that.

There is also a small plastic plate across the bottom of the switchgear with a silver screw and a black screw in it, remove those and the plate also. the switches will then come off.

Not 100% if you need to remove the bottom plate as I mention above but, take it off anyway, it wont hurt.

Whats up, why the need to remove it?

Thanks for the advice gents.

I'm sick off giving car drivers who try to pull out on me a flash of my left indicator.

I've got another switch to fit to the right of the grey light switch :)

If you have trouble undoing the mirror nut you may find you are inadvertantly tightening as (I might be wrong but it is on Kawasaki's anyway) I think the thread for the mirror is reversed, as in to loosen it you turn it clockwise. This stops the mirror blowing loose in the wind as you travel along.
But I am not 100% sure its the same on BM's
