switch problems

I see that in the USA the handlebar switches are being replaced on the twincam bikes FOC, even if they are not playing up. I had occasion to ring BMW yesterday, and they still deny any issues with the switches here in the UK
Has anyone here had the switches replaced FOC (long after guarantee period) by their local dealer?

not me but a friend on his 2016 !!!RT has had two left hand side sets and its gone again this week !!!! so is in for a third one within six months of owning the bike….each time its been something different on the cluster to, the indicator or the horn has failed .

BMW have changed them FOC . They are chinese switches apparently

2013 Twincam RT. Left Switch replaced 3 times, the last time was out of warranty but changed free of charge. Funnily enough the second switch failed out of the box during fitting / testing. The Right side (throttle side) was replaced as a precaution when the first Left side was replaced. Poor design, flimsy crap quality.
