I need to stop coming in here!![]()

Well after 12 months and 8500 glorious miles I've sold my 1190 and bought a Ducati MS
Not quite ready to lose the ride of a 17" front wheel , and I like a shorter wheel base.
As Davy as posted else well I've not clocked up so many miles for a long time on a bike.
Engine has bags of power , probably too much for the chassis/suspension , I had the electric sussies and even on sport I felt the bike dived a tad too much , and it's so bloody fast you can Easily get upto crazy speeds very quickly.
Would definitely recommend the ktm to someone that was interested in that sort of bike , IMHO far superior to the GS I had before it
Also didn't like the pr4's I put on the bike , felt much harder than pr3's .the contis were better.
Looking forward to the Ducati
Anyway got some bits for sale , will stick in for sale section when I take them off on Monday
Ktm smoked touring screen
Puig little screen thingy (transformed the bike for me)
Orange reservoir clutch and brakes f/b &oil cap
Akrapovic can
Givi rack adaptor

i finally fitted the R&G rad guard that's been sitting in my office for several weeks yesterday.
ever so slightly tricky getting the zip tie top mounts on without removing the tank![]()

having ridden the GS WC, GSA WC and being a very happy owner of the old TC GSA, i have to admit i think you are spot on in your conclusion.
but...
i am currently in the irrational grip of the urge for something different, so BMW is out. the S10 is too boring, the triumph is too ugly and the ducati is a ducati (and expensive). that rather leaves the 1190 or keeping what i have.

mod update
fitted a scotoiler a few weeks back - jury still out, but leaning towards leaving it on. always seems to be putting out too much or too little, and requires constant fiddling. the recommended one drop per minute is miles too much, and seems to vary on it's own in use. maybe it's the heat?
excess oil fling not so much on the wheel where i expected it, but on the shock and rear cylinder. on the plus side, the chain looks nice and clean and not covered in an abrasive mix of sticky gloop and grit.
finally ordered some luggage. went with the asymmetric andystrapz soft bags.
when i bought the ergo seat a while back, i was just delivered the seat with none of the electrics. been chasing it up for ages with Bikers Jersey via email. got around to phoning them today, and it seems i've been mailing their parts guy who's been sacked. anyway, did a deal where they don't have to hunt down the parts i'm never planning on connecting, and i get a quite decent partial refund
BTW the seat is a massive improvement over stock in terms of comfort.
saw a fabulous looking 1290 Super Duke at poole quay on tuesday. he's had the wheels done half white/half orange like the one ktm showed but then bottled on production![]()
