I thought I was going daft. Id go to cancel the indicators and sometimes there already off. So I experimented and they do self cancel. Old new to you maybe but my question is whats telling them to cancel? Its not a timer as in 10 flashes. So is it lean steering or what?

On the 650 i believe if the bike goes in a straight line for about 20 seconds the indicators self cancel....Others probably know more tho.....:augie

distance

Its not . . . .

Its not a timer.

Its not affected by the brakes.

Its not distance tried that.

Must be ether a steering sensor or an inertial sensor.

Zee Germans dont do magic. Za do cold hard efficient engineererererering.

There are pixies in there. Sometimes they are very naughty and stop the idicators working at all. Lots of people blame it on corrosion (or the little rubber gasket hat tearing) but I know it's the pixies.

In a cost cutting measure BuMW are aping their oriental cousins and reverting to just one pixie, in the left hand housing. This has caused at 50% unemployment in the pixie world, so stand-by for more naughtiness.

The turn indicators are cancelled automatically after you have ridden for approximately 10 seconds, or covered a distance of about 200 m.

At least that's what BuMW say in their little book. But, hey, they only build the thing..... Me? I still think it's pixies.

Thanks fells, i really need to read the manual. Goes against the grain that but still.
