I am surprised at how bad the newer ones are at rusting to be honest
Yeah, Snap On is still the AK47 of the tool world. I’ve got a few things that I picked up used on eBay over the years, but no Torx. 3/8 stubby ratchet is my favourite. Teng torque wrenchesA set of Snap On T handled Torx wrenches was one of my best buys. Expensive for what they are but they just seem to 'bite' into the screw.
You never get the feeling it's going to 'slip'.
Other than them, Teng torque wrenches.
Much prefer knowing I have torqued fittings to the manufacturer designated numbers, assuming the wrenches are reasonably accurate.
The one I bought has clearly been used and abused (10+ owners and 10k miles) but I don't mind as its just a project bike to tinker on. Bit of rust but nothing worrying compared to what I've seen on newer bikes so I agree its shocking to see the difference between quality old bikes and newer bikesFunny thing is the “real” ones didn’t suffer from rust unless they were left in a field for 30 years
Yeah, not for the faint hearted for sure?! LolI've just looked at the price of Snap On Torx set
I need to spend a few more nights on the street corner bobbing for apples
