I want a pair of tyres fitted to loose wheels and dynamically balanced close to Witney in Oxfordshire but seem to be having trouble finding somewhere local. Any ideas??

I don't know what dynamically balanced means but I've used Robson racing in Shipston in the past and they are very good. I've also used Central Tyres in Chipping Norton who are capable of doing bike tyres. Both do loose wheels - Robson racing do very competitive tyre prices too.

Good luck:)

Main problem with our bikes the rear needs a car balancer cos of the big hole in the rear (ohh err),had mine done by a car/bike tyre fitter used the car one on mine.

They just need the correct mandrel. Local bike shop (a Suzuki dealer) has one to use on his machine. Works a treat too - Unlike the local (car) tyre depot who have cocked up the balancing on my bikes' rear wheels three times over the years on their car balancing rig.

The guy I use races bikes so I get a good price & job done no doubt plenty can cockup

The problem is balancing as a special cone thing is required for the back wheel I have had static balancing before and vibration was pretty bad so took weights off and it was an improvement so looking for a proper balancing machine this time around

My tyre fitter does the back wheel on the car wheel balancer. The front he does statically as there is no way to fit a spinlde mounted wheel on a dynamic balancer. The bike has never had any speed shake.

My last rear tyre & wheel was dynamically balanced by ATS. I think they fit bike tyres too, although I fit my own.

You can balance the front yourself on the bike.

In the years of changing my own tyres, I've only ever needed two balancing. 1 front on a ZZR600 and 1 rear on my 1200GS.
