Unusual problem.

Before we get too sidetracked on overfilling the fuel tank, I'm still needing answers to this one guys  (I know - it's all about me, me,me.... pretty please...)
rotary wirebrush them till the threads shine and scoosh with good graphite penetrating oil

Use a small 8mm spanner to break them loose

If you have to lever it? IT's gonna break so stop More scoosh and maybe some heat !

5 years since my post in 2020 AD, I thought after all that time you might have come up with something a bit more original :D
Come on Neil it is Arsey

But Also the sentiment as correct LOL

Modern Fuel is Schite, I miss the smell of proper petrol from being a little Un

So Old I can recall 5 star ! 101 RON My dad used it in his Austin 3 litre land crab

I was taking the piss out of Steptoe....

Yes, I agree, but no original thought at all, but at least an improvement on the usual YouTube cut and paste :D
The joke had already been posted previously by Jonnyboy . .. :D

I hope I have found the problem - fuel filter u bend pipe has gone soft, and has a split in it. New one now on order....
New U pipe fitted - with new fuel filter (Last one was dated Jan '02...). I put a new rubber O ring on whilst it was apart, and it doesn't seem to leak ! Best bit - it now goes when I twist the throttle instead of bogging down!. I'm a happy boy....

Has anyone got a source for the metal U bend, $130 on the nushings website seems a bit expensive?

Kinda hard not to if you’re meeting up with a group for a ride that you don’t know or have control of where the next fuel stop is, especially when most ride GSAs and don’t always think of how far a lesser bike can go. 😂
Hey less of the lesser bike;; they should be humbeled in your 850s presence; :D
