Urgent help required please

If you take the tank off, have a look at the hall sensor conector. The last time mine misbehaved, I just pulled the multi pin connectors apart, and they were all nice and green. Just take them apart and push them back together again a few times to clean the contacts up a bit and see what happens. Mine were minging, and that was about 60k ago.Worth a try.

Since I was told to do that,I've been having nightmares about the fact I might have bunged away 150 quids worth of perfectly good hall sensors:blast

PS I pushed mine 7 miles,so stop whining:beerjug:

Arrrrggggghhhh !!!!!
both of us have woken up this morning covered in itchy mozzy bites . Davy´s face looks like he´s been dooking for chips . lol . his eye is swollen completely closed and there´s no way he can ride twisties today . my ankles and hands are itchy as feck also. spending the night in a ditch was possibly not one of our better ideas , it looks like another night in the hotel to regroup and get things sorted . This has the makings of a good trip .:blast:blast . anyway , i´m rambling on , hopefully i´ll get the bike to the dealer and davy to the pharmacy this morning for a diagnosis . I´ll keep you posted. :beerjug::beerjug:

Fookin brilliant thread in so many ways..the instant help to contact Steptoe(by 'eck this t'Interweb int 'alf good), the technical advice, the excellent pisstaking, the stoicism and determination of kirky :bow, the hilarious (laffing with you not at you) vision I have of (a) spraying ya 'lectrics with water to see if you break down again (b) you collapsed in a ditch for the night and (c) pushing the bike 1/2 a mile kitted up ........and still more posts to come.

Superb site thanks. :clap:clap

Hope you get sorted mate. :thumb2

Glad to hear you're sorted!

Did you replace the whole plate? If so, I'd be interested in having it if you want to recoup some of your costs - I've just picked up 2 new sensors so I could refurbish yours and have a live spare.

ISTR that the rev counter flicking all over the place has been strongly, if not definitely, linked to HES :(

Bill , I can assure you that the temp rid was going mental in time with the bike misbehaving which had the dealership flummoxed and is now ok with the new hall sensor fitted . it may be worth noting in case anyone else has a similar problem . :thumb Anyway , we´ve had a couple of sherbets to celebrate and are going for an early night so that were fresh for the B500 tomorrow............ Oh , look that machine in the foyer sells ice cold beer at 1.60 a bottle :D:D:D:D . later folks :thumb2:thumb2

Glad yer sorted fatboy :thumb2

:green gri

Ya gotta admit, it's made the trip interesting hasn't it :thumb

Unplanned events always make for a good trip Bill . It's just unfortunate that it cost so much .

Anyway , we went out for a meal tonight to celebrate . Unfortunately I don't know what the restaurant was called and we didn't take pictures of our food . But it was bloody good . :thumb2 I'll keep you all posted on this thread of any worthwhile events and I'll do a trip report on my return . I just have to add massive thanks to my trip companion Davy , aka putbinoot , aka Karl pilkington
For all his help on scene . You'll all be glad to hear that his antibiotic cream is taking effect and he should be good to ride tomorrow . Massive thanks to everyone once again :beerjug::beerjug::beerjug: Jok
